Bradley Johnson is a 'bad-boy turned good' singer from Rainford. After auditioning for the X Factor in 2011 as a solo artist, where he received a standing ovation for his performance of Ed Sheeran's ' The A Team', he progressed to boot camp. There, he was selected to become a member of Nu Vibe - a five-piece boyband, created by Tulisa and made up of auditionees who narrowly missed out on a Judges' Houses place as solo artists. Nu Vibe progressed all the way to the second week of the Live Finals before their X Factor dream came to an end.
Not giving up, the band continued to gig nationwide before going calling it a day and going their separate ways. Bradley was offered a record deal and is now signed to small record label, Ingeny Music Ltd. His intention was always to be a solo artist - the original reason why he auditioned for X Factor last year - and with almost 40,000 Twitter followers and over 200,000 YouTube hits of his audition, hopefully it won't be long before Bradley has great chart success.
I was excited to hear Bradley's new single 'Boomerang' when he released the video for it. Some may say it is a little too auto-tuned or that there is too much echo but look past that, and taking into consideration that this is his debut single, it shouldn't be doubted that he has the ability to succeed as a pop artist with promising vocal talent.
